Why We Fight - The Nazis Strike Trivia - Did You Know?

During World War II the Office of War Information commissioned Hollywood director Frank Capra to produce and direct a series of films for US service men that would make clear the reasons and aims of America’s involvement in the war. Capra, a successful director who would later become a legend and famous for such films as It’s a Wonderful Life had already won an Academy Award for It Happened One Night. Capra produced a series of seven films titled Why We Fight. These films were shown to servicemen in basic training and today provide an entertaining and informative primary source for post-war generations.
