The Volotov Client

The Volotov Client is our preferred application for downloading and playing content from the Volotov website (Although you can use any torrent client and MPEG4 player if you wish). The client also grabs RSS feeds any other sites you may wish to add - so you can stay up-to-date with all the latest films available from your favourite sites.

All the DRM-Free content on the Volotov site is encoded to a high MPEG4/AAC quality and DRM-Locked content is encoded to WMV/WMA for Windows Media Player.

The Client based on the Open Source Miro Client originally developed by the dedicated team at The Participatory Cultural Foundation which we have rebuilt for the Volotov audience. The source code can be found here for those who are interested in investigating the client further.
